Thampisons Enterprises was established in 1987 and was officially registered with Govt. Authorities in 1990 under the proprietorship of Mr. Neramannil Santhosh, based at Kozhikode (Calicut), Kerala, India. Thampisons are pioneers in pet food & accessories businesses in India.
Being an animal lover, Mr. Santhosh had many pets from his childhood, especially Dogs, Birds, Aquariums etc and he was very involved with Dog Shows.
He first heard about Pet Foods from Dog Talk Magazine, which is an Official Magazine of The Singapore Kennel Club which he had in his possession as he was an Overseas Member of the Singapore Kennel Club in the late 80s’. Understanding the importance and use of pet foods, he started gathering more information about it and it became a big dream of his to introduce Dog foods in the Indian Market. He went onto actualise this dream by introducing Dog foods like Nutripet, Superina, Eukanuba etc. and later started an exclusive outlet for Pet Foods and Accessories with various Brands.
Mr. Santhosh hails from a Gold & Silver Jewellery business family of Calicut and was also involved in Electronic Product & Spare Parts business and was the North Kerala Distributors for Crompton Greaves Phones and Mr. Butlers Drinking Water & Aerated Water. His Electronic Product Business house was the No.1 Dealers of BPL Phones and Beetles Phones in Kozhikode District.
Mr. Santhosh is a lifetime member of The Kennel Club of India (KCI) from 1990 and also, one of the Founding Members of the German Shepherd Dog Club of India (Now, known as The German Shepherd Dog Confederation).
He was part of many organisations such as The Calicut bullion Dealers Association Youth Wing Secretary, The Kerala Electronics & Traders Industries Association Kerala State Secretary & North Zone Secretary, Kerala Vyapari Vyavassai Ekopana Samithi Unit Joint Secretary, The Calicut Aquarists Society Secretary, The National Aquariculture Society Secretary, The Calicut Kennel Club Secretary, The Malabar Canine Club Secretary, Calicut Pigeon Flyer’s Federation Secretary, Malabar Pigeon Flyer’s Society Secretary etc
Currently he is the Secretary of The Kozhikode Kennel Club, Secretary of The German Shepherd Dog Confederation Kozhikode Chapter, Secretary of The Rottweiler Club of India Kerala Chapter, Secretary of The Labrador Retriever Club of India Kerala Chapter, Vice President of The South India Great Dane Club, Editorial Board Member of Indian Kennel Gazette which is an Official Monthly Magazine of The Kennel Club of India, The Malabar Chamber of Commerce Member etc. Mr. Santhosh is one of the very few people in India who are authorised to Certify Dogs with Unknown Parentage.
Mr. Santhosh is also a qualified Ring Steward among The Kennel Club of India Ring Stewards Panel and has stewarded more than 100 plus dog shows in India and was one of the official Ring Stewards of The World Dog Show 2019, held in Shanghai. He also received an invitation to serve at The World Dog Show, 2020 in Madrid, but was unfortunately cancelled due to Covid – 19.
Being a pet lover, he is adamant in providing the best quality products to his customers and their pets which has been one of the reasons, Thampisons Enterprises strived and still continues to do so in business after all these years.
Currently, Thampisons Enterprises is located at the Dreams Edifice, Taluk Office Road, Opp. Puthiyara Post Office, Kozhikode and are distributing multiple Brands of Pet Foods and Pet Products, Feed Suppliments, Veterinary Medicines and consumer Products.
