The story of Thampisons is the story of one man’s lifelong love for animals — and his quiet, determined mission to give every pet in Kerala the very best.
Mr. Neramannil Santhosh
A man who grew up loving every animal.
Mr. Neramannil Santhosh was born into a gold and silver jewellery business family in Kozhikode, Kerala. From childhood, animals were always at the centre of his life — he grew up with dogs, birds and aquariums, and was deeply involved in the dog show circuit from an early age.
His first encounter with the concept of dedicated pet food came through Dog Talk Magazine, the official publication of the Singapore Kennel Club. As an overseas member of the club in the late 1980s, he was among the first in India to understand what proper, science-based canine nutrition could mean for the health of pets.
From a magazine to a movement.
That discovery became a mission. In 1987, Mr. Santhosh founded Thampisons Enterprises in Kozhikode — and by 1989 he was distributing Nutripet and Superina, making Thampisons one of Kerala’s first dedicated pet food distributors. In 1990 the business was officially registered, the same year he became a Lifetime Member of The Kennel Club of India.
Over the decades that followed, he introduced over 20 internationally respected brands to Kerala — Eukanuba, Royal Canin, Arden Grange, Meradog and more — building the foundation of the state’s pet food market almost single-handedly.

Today Thampisons operates as an authorised distributor for Nestlé Purina and Drools — two of the world’s most trusted names in pet nutrition. From our store at Dreams Edifice, Taluk Office Road, Kozhikode, we supply retailers, veterinary clinics and pet stores across Kerala with genuine products and personal service.
Being a pet lover, Mr. Santhosh remains adamant about providing only the highest quality products to his customers and their animals. That conviction — simple, unwavering, unchanged since 1987 — is what has kept Thampisons going strong for over three and a half decades.
Over three decades of milestones.
Mr. Santhosh establishes Thampisons in Kozhikode — at a time when pet food as a category barely existed in India. Driven purely by his love for animals and belief in proper nutrition, the groundwork for something pioneering is laid.
Thampisons begins distributing Nutripet and Superina — among the first dedicated pet food products in Kerala. Mr. Santhosh becomes a true pioneer, introducing the concept of proper canine nutrition to a market that had never seen it before.
Thampisons is officially registered with government authorities. Mr. Santhosh simultaneously becomes a Lifetime Member of The Kennel Club of India (KCI) and a Founding Member of the German Shepherd Dog Confederation.
Over two decades, Thampisons introduces Kerala to the world's leading pet food brands — Eukanuba, Royal Canin, Arden Grange, Meradog, Pro Pac, Science Plan and many more — serving as all-Kerala distributor and establishing the very market that exists today.
Mr. Santhosh serves as an Official Ring Steward at the World Dog Show 2019 in Shanghai — one of the most prestigious canine events on the planet. He has by this point stewarded over 100 dog shows across India on the KCI Ring Stewards Panel. He receives an invitation to Madrid 2020, sadly cancelled due to Covid-19.
